GOOD WISHES or…srecno novo leto!

ENGLISH:

The year is coming to an end and so is my writing on this blog. the whole year was a big experience. I traveled….a lot! I cruised 10 countries. Unintentionally, but with a big joy! And i also learned a lot!

I learned that we have only one planet! We should cherish it…take care of it and also enjoy all those beauties that it shows us everyday.

I learned that there are big differences in the world. Not so much in different cultures and lifestyles, but especially differences in opportunities.

I learned a lot of people are spoiled. I learned a lot of people don’t know what they want from their lifes. And that no matter how much you care, some people are just ass holes! :)

I learned bad moments come…no matter how »good« you are. And there is no point to ask yourself why for the hundred times. The best thing you can do is raise your head and go on with your life. Don’t worry, be happy, cause everything will turn out fine at the end.

Don’t be afraid to follow your dreams. Everything comes true, if you wish enough and you’re willing to put enough effort into it!

And remember: always put smile on your face – it doesn’t cost anything, but it makes wonders.

Oki doki, I think this is it (at least for a while :) ). After skiing in france next week (wiiii!) I’m done with traveling for a while. I’m moving to my dream island and returning to my writings and creating …And now it’s time for you to come for a visit and share stories…

Happy New Year to everybody and may it be full of things and moments, that make you smile!

SLOVENSKO:

Leto gre h koncu in prav tako tole moje pisanje bloga. Celo leto je bilo ena velika izkusnja. Potovala sem…kar precej! Obiskala sem 10 držav. Nenamerno, a z veseljem.

NO MORE NORTH FOR MA WHILE or…pa sem spet nazaj! sam ne za dolg:)

ENGLISH:

Hey, i’m back. I returned from denmark a couple of days ago. At first I had a lot of traveling plans for Christmas and new years, but certain events lead me to the decision and so I went home. And it was a beautiful one. After many years a white one! On our way home, we made a stop in Berlin and in Prague. I met some great people and the whole journey back was really nice!

Ok, and what can i say about denmark? Simply, it was a big experience. First of all, it was my first “second home”. Luckily only for a while – otherwise I’d starve soon! :) But it’s a nice country, very green and with lots of beautiful beaches. And the weather was not as frightening as I imagined. :) and I met a lot of different people, which I’ll remember for ever. Everyone in it’s different way!

School was a big experience too. I learned a lot. I’m glad I was part of almost famous band (well, if you hear something about the butterflies and a ladybird anytime soon, that’s us!:))) and that we made a movie. I think it should be on the internet soon! In my line subject I had a great time. Honestly, I thought I’ll die with all those political topics, but surprisingly I enjoyed them the most. Now I understand better how things work in the world, why we don’t help people in Africa if we just send tons of corn or something there, why is so hard for NGO’s to get the money from governments and why it takes so long to legislate proposals concerning environment. Now I know that children prostitution in poor places is a bad way, but it’s still a way, I know about all major differences between democrats and republicans and I know why only Brazilians speak Portuguese in South America and the rest of population Spanish.

Thx to this school and the time spent here I realized who I am and where I wanna go on my personal level. I would like to dedicate some of my time next year to go and do some volunteer work somewhere. To help. So if anyone knows for some programs, please let me know.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to take a part as a member of international EU-team. I’m aware it was a unique opportunity…Once in a lifetime!

p.s.: and for the ned our EU-team’s antumn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daEmhWe0euA :)

SLOVENSKO:

Vesela sem, da sem bla del skor slavnega benda (no ce boste kje slisal za the butterflies and a ladybird – to smo mi :) ) in nardil smo filmcek.

SAD NOTE or…trenutki za premislek…

I would like to dedicate this post to Harry, one of my best friends, who tragically passed away in Africa on 9th December 2007.

travelings brought us together and travelings took him away. in between there was time filled with many wonderful moments; walking the streets of our cities, deep conversations, playing games, crazy adventures and lots of laughs.

it’s really sad, how life surprises us from time to time. probably we’ll never know the answers why, but maybe we can learn from this to really live our lifes to their fullest, cause we never know which day will be the last one. Harry certainly did.

ODE TO BROKEN THINGS
(Pablo Neruda)

Things get broken
at home
like they were pushed
by an invisible, deliberate smasher.
It’s not my hands
or yours
It wasn’t the girls
with their hard fingernails
or the motion of the planet.
It wasn’t anything or anybody
It wasn’t the wind
It wasn’t the orange-colored noontime
Or night over the earth
It wasn’t even the nose or the elbow
Or the hips getting bigger
or the ankle
or the air.
The plate broke, the lamp fell
All the flower pots tumbled over
one by one. That pot
which overflowed with scarlet
in the middle of October,
it got tired from all the violets
and another empty one
rolled round and round and round
all through winter
until it was only the powder
of a flowerpot,
a broken memory, shining dust.

And that clock
whose sound
was
the voice of our lives,
the secret
thread of our weeks,
which released
one by one, so many hours
for honey and silence
for so many births and jobs,
that clock also
fell
and its delicate blue guts
vibrated
among the broken glass
its wide heart
unsprung.

Life goes on grinding up
glass, wearing out clothes
making fragments
breaking down
forms
and what lasts through time
is like an island on a ship in the sea,
perishable
surrounded by dangerous fragility
by merciless waters and threats.
Let’s put all our treasures together
– the clocks, plates, cups cracked by the cold –
into a sack and carry them
to the sea
and let our possessions sink
into one alarming breaker
that sounds like a river.
May whatever breaks
be reconstructed by the sea
with the long labor of its tides.
So many useless things
which nobody broke
but which got broken anyway.

VISITING THE CAPITAL or…super vikend v copenhagnu!

ENGLISH:

hehe, finally we made it! i know it’s quite a shame to live in one country for 3 months and visit the capital the last weekend of my stay, but oh well, now i can say only i wish we would go sooner. eventhough the weather was really…lets put it nicely: scandinavian, we had a lot of fun. our official purpose of goin there was actually purely political - to meet some “high seated” politicians (remember i’m a member of EU team in this active citizenship class). but it was an interesting experience and i must say, their parlament seems quite more vibrant, than their national charactristics may describe. aside that, we also visited another big sight: christiania. it’s an alternative place, something like metelkova city in ljubljana (those who visited ljubljana already, know what i’m talking about:)), except that it is a looot bigger and “developed”. later in the evening we cruised to some “not to danish” bars, clubs,… first one was a blues/jazz bar and our band (the one that we formed here 3 months ago:)) almost made it to first live performance on that evening jazz session. eventhough we never played anything sounding similar to jazz, we actually managed to persuade the organisor (quite easily by the way, probably cause we’re mostly chicks:)) that he puts us on the list of performars! :) but at the end i guess we figured out we’re not drunk enough :) and so we decided to take a mercy on our teacher, who told us that most likely this will result in the end of his political career, if anybody sees him in our company.:)) so, see, you didn’t miss anything - there’s still a chance if you want to participate in our break through :))
on our way to hostel, we heared a great music coming out of one club, so we had to sneek in for a while as well. it turned out to be a nice cosy salsa club, and after a long time i had a chance to nock myself out with some dancing moves again…
in this pre-christmas spirit we couldn’t miss a christmas concert as well…actually we almost miss it…no, we managed to miss it:) …almost the whole one, cause we decided to walk, eventhough it was frickin far away. but we catch the spirit nontheless :)
next day we walked around a city a bit and visit those “must see” sights (like little murmade and such) and on our way back, we even manage to spot a celebrity. there was a big croud in front of a hotel and we decided to wait and see what’s goin on. after ten minutes of nothing happening, we became kinda unpatiend, so i asked some crazy middle aged fans: excuse me, can i ask, who are we waiting for? and they said: bruce springsteen. and me: oh, then, since we are in a first row already, maybe it’s worth to wait a bit.:) and voila! it was unexpected but interesting to be in the middle of all that fuzz…
on sunday we planed to visit malmo (sweden), but it was quite rainy and grey, so it was much better to go to some great museums and galleries. and they have quite a lot of them in copenhagen. and they are big! and interesting…eventhough i have to admit, that i took a “not-planned-nap” in the second one:)

of course i have to mention, that our experience in copenhagen would certainly not be the same, if we wouldn’t meet some really cool danes as well. after 3 months i had a chance to finally taste some reall (home-made) food and they certainly made me change my mind about their steriotypical characteristic of being cold and introvert. we had great time together and i hope to come back again! …but next time it will be in summer, for sure! :)

ÅRHUS RULES, STILL! or… kuhancek ze disi ;)

ENGLISH:

second largest city in denmark is… actually full of people! …don’t look weird, if you would live up here on fyn, you would know what i’m talking about :) quick overview: if more then one fifth of all DK population is concentrated in copenhagen, then you can imagine how the rest of the country looks or at least feels like…
but as said, århus (see how skilled i became with this weird letters:)) is a completey different story and expecially in this time before christmas city sends out this special vibe…it’s good to be there! good to walk around the city centre, visit christmas market and of course as a real tourist also some standard sites. our choice was den gamle by or old town in english. it’s anoher open-air museum, with lots of old style looking houses, which enlighten you a bit about danish city history.
later, in the evening, we decided to check on the alternative scene as well, so we went to see a international academy’s theatre play. The Maids! i must say, this kind of plays would certainly not be my first choice, but i was definitely very impressed. simply said: gay as it can be, but really excelent acting!…ah, i feel so culturally enlightened now… :)

p.s.: today is 1st of december and you know what this means…time for happy last month of the year! and of course, even if we’re far away from our home, we must not forget about our slovene tradition, and therefore we shall have our first glasses of cooked wine tonight!

SLOVENSKO:

LANGELAND’S SECRET: BEST WAY NATURE PROMOTES ITSELF or… wiii, vidla bozickove jelencke!

ENGLISH:

and, weekend came again and along with it another trip. we chosed to go to langeland - the biggest island below fyn.
nice indeed! but you know me, i simply cannot be dissapointed if you put me on an island.:) out of all nice things the most surprising and specially great one i saw this time was parc-museum. this was my first visit to museum “build up” in the forrest. various sculptures made by artists from all over the world. and the best think about this sculptures is that they are completely natural - made from natural materials - stones, wood, dirt, bones… really worth seing! it’s called TICKON and it’s situated in the parc around tranekaer castle in the north part of the island.
if you’re lucky like we were, you might spot a group of santas raindeers - they make a stop there. really! you don’t believe? check the pictures on my facebook. ;)

SLOVENSKO:

LOCKED IN A CYBER REALITY or… gremo nazaj v stare case….

ENGLISH:

last week nothing that spectacular happened, except that we had old students weekend (read: huge party - lots of everything: cca. 120 people, band, food, drinks and lots of dancing). but other than that nothing that special, so today i’ll go in more pholosophical waters, hehe :) but bare with me, i think it’s a nice point and of course it is connected with travelings and me living in strange country :), far away from you…

the other day i was reading the time magazine again (as you may know i’m sort of hooked up to it lately:)) and there was an article with a  very expressive tittle: you are not my friend. yes, we’re on facebook. but i don’t care about your cat. and stop poking me. :)) and it just confirmed this idea i had in my mind for quite sometime now. don’t worry, i don’t have anything against facebook itself and i’mreally glad i have you there (otherwise you couldn’t even watch my picture albums, ha ha), it’s just about how addicted we became to computers in general. we use them everywhere. for listening music, reading news…even books, searching jobs,…wouldn’t it be better to get togather with couple of friends and play live music or go and pick up happenings in our surroundings or go and ask for a awailable job positions in a company personaly and get straight answer right away…? for many stuff it seems just so obvious - it’s easier, not so much time consuming, you would say… - really? it is not? right… how many times it happened that you just checked your emails and close the window? and how many times it happened that a friend just wanted to say hello on gtalk, msn, etc. and you ended up sitting an hour in front of the screen talking to him?…or you just got another vampire slaughter invitation on facebook and of course you had to check what is that all about (and we all know how this ends:)) anywas my point is that i really started to dislike living in this cyber reality!

…but on the other hand, if i stop being so damn critical… i know not everything is so bad :) at least for now, when i’m in the other side of the world, i know it’s good and kinda necesary that i can keep contact with some people. most of all i think it would be hard to gather all the international mixure in one place:) and  yes, of course i agree, that every surrounding that you’re living in can give you something for itself, but it doesn’t necesary feels like YOUR WORLD (like denmark in my case :) ups, damn this honesty…!) and i still believe that there are some people that can give you that right feeling in your heart… and we should not stop caring about them, just because they are on the other side of the world and you cannot see them everyday. nurchering good feelings and embracing good experiences, no matter in what form they are coming in, that is important! …so that was my humble philosophical oppinion:).

anyways: so, puting all this together, i decided i’ll try to use less internet (at least a little bit) and if i am spending time on the computer, it should be a quality one…and more importantly i decided to read more here (though english books it’s hard to get :S, …and i have so many recomendations :( ), write more poerty/songs, talk more with people, meditate more, go more to the gym or to the nature… live more in a real world! and i have a new goal here. it’s to start writing original letters and postcards again… i think it will be kinda cool to bring some old nostalgy out: to send something with real handwriting and all the decoratings and perfume smells:)…and surely it will not make me poor, if i buy a stamp or two…:) but maybe it will make somebody feel special and happier… i hope so. ;)
so if anybody thinks that could be a nice idea to implement, please feel free to send me your address (and i’ll send you mine! i want postcards too;)) and we can have a little fun with remaking the old reality;)

ok, so much i can do now and as soon as i move to my dream island i promise i will call you all and invite you over for dinner to my house on the beach and later on we will play some live music by the fire under the stars, share some good stories and have some laughs…’waiky ‘waiky! :)

SLOVENSKO:

…no to je le moje skromno filozofsko mnenje:)

ROAD TRIP TO JUTLAND or…mraz s severa! brrr…

ENGLISH:

weekend again! wiii! as usuall we didn’t stay in ryslinge. couple slovenes and a polish girl decided to make a road trip to jutland (FYI: this is this big part of denmark that is connected to germany). before we cruises the”island” round and round we heard some weather predictions for hurycane storming there, but aside of wind and cold, we didn’t find anything threatening… though, you cannot even imagine how icy that wind was! i can tell you, my plans for goin to lapland this christmas just vanished in a second! fricking, f,….unbelievable, unimaginable cold! i don’t think i ever wore so many layers on me as this weeekned (and you know that i’m “the layer girl”!:)). but at the same time it was so frickin worth it! we saw some nice towns, viking villages, natural beauties,…and the most fun and impresive thing was making snow angels in the realy nordic desert and crossing icy cold water to get to the very northest point of the continental europe (don’t ask me what is norway and finland and such stuff doin up there then). it’s a place, where baltic and nordic sea meets. georgeous! …but pics will tell more!
accomodation part was fun for itself. we pay a visit to another hojskole (same type as ours) and eventhough they were fairly surprised to see us (we said that we’re coming, damn it!) we meet some nice new people, had lots of fun with games (mostly drinking ones - by the way, i like their bar way more then ours, he he :))….and of course it was also educational - they teached us a cheating polka! hmm… wanna dance? :)

p.s.: pictures on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20566&id=690097639

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAIY_lR9Upk OR…politicne razprave na danskem

ENGLISH:

friday night. going to a gay bar to listen political debates. how does this sounds? …or later on “starring” (read: playnig another head in the audience) on the national TV for some more political debates…juhuu! :) well, i’m sorry i didn’t announded my international 5 minutes of fame before (so you could all watch via satelite, and record it of course! :))), but it was just to show a little suport to our radical left candidate. it’s time of parlamentaty elections here in denmark and since rune (our EU line teacher) is quite engaged in politics, we could not entirely escape these vibes. it was ok, nothing spectacular, but at least food and beer were for free :) and we did some good work! …but just so you know, i’m still not changing sites… in any way! :)

SLOVENSKO:
